The Danish-Scottish Society is delighted to invite you to the annual Edinburgh Christmas Party (“juletræsfest”)!

We’re once again bringing back this important tradition for our members and their families and hope to welcome you all to St Anne’s Church on 21 November from 13:30-16:30 — we know, it’s a bit early this year, but hopefully it’s a good chance to get in the spirit (and is it ever really too early for brunkager and gløgg?!)

As always, there will be traditional Danish treats, Christmas crafts, decoration making, dancing around the Christmas tree, and a visit from julemanden with gift bags for the children.

While all of these things continue to be included in the price of the ticket, we would also really welcome contributions towards the food and drink offering (do you know how to make æbleskiver? Has your family got the best recipe for klejner?) Please also consider signing up on the volunteering sheet.

The Christmas Party is an important milestone in the year for our families, and ticket sales are also the main source of funding for the Society. This allows us to operate our website and run events including the under 5’s monthly playgroup and the Danish school. Therefore, please consider also purchasing a membership as a form of donation to the Society. Do invite along your family and Scandi-curious friends as well!

So warm up those vocal cords and stick your Christmas jumper on a gentle cycle - it’s time for Søren Banjomus and æbleskiver once again. We look forward to welcoming you all 🎄
