Danish Embassy in UK

The Danish Embassy in the UK has representations throughout Scotland. You can get in touch with the various consulates and vice-consulates right here.

 

The embassy sends out a monthly newsletter, which you can subscribe to here. We would also encourage Danes living in Scotland to join Danskerlisten to receive the latest news.

Anglo-Danish Society

The Anglo-Danish Society has encouraged the strong bonds between the two cultures for nearly 100 years. http://anglo-danishsociety.org.uk/

 

We arrange events and celebrations in varied venues.

Scholarships are given to post-graduate students from UK and Denmark wishing to study abroad.

Danes Worldwide

Danes Worldwide is an organisation for Danes living abroad. The organisation has representatives based all over the world, who can help members with any practical questions, they may have.

Danish-Scottish Network

The Danish-Scottish Network is a facebook page providing daily news, events and information relevant to anyone living in Scotland with an interest in all things Danish.

The network has around 1200 followers and connects people, groups and businesses.

CoScan

The Confederation of Scandinavian Societies in the UK (CoScan) is an umbrella organisation for over 30 member societies promoting cultural exchange between Scandinavia and the UK.

The organisation sends out a magazine every six months and organises the Travel Award to help young British people to visit a Scandinavian country.

Danish Students Abroad

Danish Students Abroad advises and represents Danish students before, during and after educational stays abroad. You can join DSA right here.

The organisation has a facebook group for students in Scotland, which you are welcome to join. The group is currently looking for a coordinator. If you like to know more, please get in touch.

Danish Language Network

The Danish Language Network in Scotland is for all past and present adult Danish learners in Scotland. It encompasses all levels of Danish and arranges social meetups online and physically for people to practice their Danish.

 

The group has a facebook group, which you are welcome to join.

St. Andrew Society of Denmark

The St. Andrew Society of Denmark arranges Scottish cultural events such as St. Andrews Night and Burns Supper in Denmark. You can join the society via email - 150 kroner per individual and 250 kroner per couple.
