Danish-Scottish Playgroup

The Danish-Scottish Playgroup is an opportunity for 0-5 year old children and their parents to meet, sing and have fun while exploring Danish. The playgroup is organised by parents and free for Danish-Scottish Society members. You can either join here or you are welcome to drop in and join on the day.

The playgroup takes place at 6VT Youth Cafe in Edinburgh from 1-3pm.

*** Due to the risk of corona virus, the playgroup will be off until further notice. We will advertise via the usual channels when the playgroup is back in action. ***

The format of a typical playgroup is:

13-13.15: Welcome (especially for new members) and introduction to the theme for the day + a song about the theme

13.15-14: Free play, snacks and coffee

14.00: Songs (about the theme)

14.10: Story time (about the theme)

14.30: More free play + thanks and goodbye

Any changes will be communicated via our mailing list (to join email dss.legegruppe@gmail.com ) and the facebook group.

There is no need to book so feel free to drop in and join in the fun. The more involved in the activities you become, the more the children get out of it.

I am new to the group. Can I join?

Yes, you are welcome to come along to the playgroup. New families are very welcome to join no matter whether it is a one-off or as a regular. The important bit is taking part and your child having fun.

Does it cost anything?

The playgroup is free to Danish-Scottish Society members. You can either join here or drop in and join on the day.

How do I keep in touch?

You can keep up-to-date by joining our facebook page or alternatively our mailing list.

Please contact our playgroup coordinators Line and Emily on dss.legegruppe@gmail.com.

Do I need to bring anything?

Feel free to bring healthy snacks. There will be tea and coffee available.
